Margret Köll historical harp

Margret Köll initially studied piano and harp at the conservatory in Innsbruck. She continued her concert harp studies with Nicoletta Alberti at the Mozarteum in Innsbruck and with Dr. Ruth Inglefield in Baltimore, and finally in Professor Helga Storck’s class at the Hochschule für Musik in Munich, where she graduated as a teacher and performer. After the studies in historical harps with Andrew – Lawrence King and Mara Galassi she got her degree at the Accademia Internazionale della Musica in Milan. From 2003 – 2006 she teached at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich.

In 2008 she got the “Jakob – Stainer – Preis” in Austria. As a principal harpist she worked with the Munich Symphony Orchestra, the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival Orchestra and the Philharmonie der Nationen.

She played In various ensembles: Il Giardino Armonico (Giovanni Antonini), Europa Galante (Fa- bio Biondi), Imaginarium (Enrico Onofri), Bayrische Staatsoper (Ivor Bolton), Balthasar-Neumann- Ensemble (Thomas Hengelbrock), Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin (Marcus Creed), Collegium Vocale Gent (Attilio Cremonesi), La Scintilla and Cecilia Bartoli on Promotiontour (CD: “Maria Malibran) in Europe, 2009 Engagement at “La Scala” in Milan for Händel ́s Alcina.
